Return & Refund Policy

Overview

This policy applies to all purchases made through The Himalayan Boutique Shopify store. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

This policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which cannot be excluded.


Returns

We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return, items must:

  • Be returned within 14 days of delivery
  • Be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
  • Include original packaging and tags (if applicable)
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase

We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions.


Change of Mind Returns

We may accept returns for change of mind at our discretion. In such cases:

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • A restocking inspection may apply if items are not returned in original condition

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method
  • Processing times may vary between 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.

If you require an exchange, contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order details and supporting photos (if applicable).


Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us immediately.

We may require:

  • Order number
  • Photos of the issue
  • Description of the problem

Where a product is deemed faulty or incorrect under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a replacement, repair, store credit, or refund.

We will cover return shipping costs for confirmed faulty or incorrect items.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless faulty:

  • Sale or clearance items
  • Gift cards
  • Hygiene-related items (where applicable)

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we are not responsible for lost returns.


Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
